STARS - PeopleSoft ELM 9 - Bundles

The following are highlights of each PeopleSoft ELM Bundle. Each bundle contains several software patches, fixes and enhancements which affect technical, functional and user operations. Please find the only the highlights of each bundle relevant to Stanford's user community.

Bundle #12 Highlights

Curriculum/Certifications	Content ELM9 Scorm or AICC - Scorm/AICC content when used as last section does not complete certification/curriculum.	After a code change, SCORM/ AICC Compliant Program's completion status is set correctly once the Activity is completed.
Curriculum/Certifications	Roster ELM9 Re-hired Employees still show EMPL Record 0 or secondary (inactive) information in Roster and other places.	After a code change, only the current active Job row is displayed in Group Enrollment and Activity Roster pages.
Catalog	After completing Supplemental learning  for a learner Admin and Manger don't have access to modify status but learners still have access to change anything related to that supplemental learning, which is incorrect.	After a code Change, the Learners do not have access to modify the Completed Supplemental Learning Details.
Catalog	Catalog ELM9 Request New Learning - PeopleCode error on Advanced Search.	After code changes, Request Learning search works correctly.
Activity	The attachment can not be launched from the cloned activity if the attachment is deleted from the original activity.	After a code change, the attachment can be successfully launched from the cloned activity even after the attachment is deleted from the original activity.
Notifications	Notification Process LM_CMPL_WRN generating notifications for completed Certifications when user enrolls Activity for Recert Program - HIPAA	After an SQL change, no LM_CMPL_WRN notifications are fired for the original certification if it was completed in the past.
Notifications	Duplicate email notifications when Certification enters Warning status.	After a code change, Certification Warning email is properly sent for Certification programs that enter the Warning period.

EIP - HRMS	Workforce Sync does not account for LM_EMPL_RCD when calculating LM_END_EFFDT.	After a code change, LM_END_EFFDT updated correctly during WORKFORCE_SYNC.
Enrollment	Grades/Attendance marked for Pending Approval Learners do not show up in Component Roster.	The administrator or the instructor cannot update grades and attendance for the learners in pending approval status.
Enrollment	ELM: For Planned Catalog Item, View All Learning page enrolls Admin not Learner.	After a Software change, the Learner is successfully enrolled into a planned Catalog Item from the 'View All Learning' page.
Learning Requests	Catalog ELM9 Supplemental Learning Admin cannot drop 'Learner ID not valid.'	Admin or manager can modify Supplemental Learning.
Notifications	Admin approves learner registration - no email sent.	After a Software change, Learner receives the 'Registration Confirmation' email, once the administrator approves the program registration from the 'Administer Program Rosters' page.

Bundle #10 Highlights

Catalog Search / Verity	Performance problem opening the Search Catalog Page.	After a code change, the Search Catalog page is loading faster.
Curriculum / Certifications	Viewing Program Item and Nested Program Equivalencies from EE SS Pages, Equivalents for programs not showing up.	Equivalents for programs showing up on the program details page when the prerequisites link is clicked.
Curriculum / Certifications	Certification ELM9 Cascading Expiration Items extended when any Item retaken.	When a learner repeats a section of a completed Certification that has multiple item sections and with a Cascading Expirations, the certification dates for the repeated section is updated.
Curriculum/Certifications	The status of a parent certification is not updated when a nested program is met by equivalency.	The status of a parent certification is updated when a nested program is met by equivalency.
Enrollment	Learners Unable to Enroll in Learning Programs when items have multiple equivalents.	After code changes, Learners could be enrolled from Self-Service, Manager Self-Service and Administrator's Enroll Learners page to Programs with multiple equivalents.

Manager Self Service Approvals	Invalid message displayed When manager enrolls team members for an activity which approval type definition is "ACT INT-MGR EXT-NONE "	When manager enrolls team members for an activity whose approval process definition is "ACT INT-MGR EXT-NONE ", the correct message is displayed (successfully enrolled) when enrollment is automatically approved (self-approval).
Curriculum/Certifications Setup	Could unintentionally place a program and item in the same section of a cert	After a Software change, a Program Section can contain only a Program and an Item Section can have only an Item placed under it. (Learning Admin)
Learning Requests	ELM9 Learning Requests - Multiple requests if Multiple Item rows	After a code change, only the Current Effective dated row is returned for Learning Requests created for Catalog items with multiple effective dated rows.
Live Webcast	The Auto Mark Activity Completion process does not get scores for webcast.	The Auto Mark Activity Completion process does get scores for webcast learning components.
Notifications	The program registration confirmation notification is not created if a manager approves the registration	After a code change, Program registration confirmation notification is sent when Manager/ Special Approver approves a Program Registration.
Notifications	Administrator sets a Certification to "Completed" from the Program Roster, notifications are not sent to learners.	After code changes, when an Administrator sets a Certification to "Completed" from the Program Roster, the Certification issue notification is send to the Learner.
Notifications	Start Date and End Date are not populated in the enrollment notifications.	After a Software change, the Start Date and End Date are included in the Enrollment notifications.

This Bundle is primarily bug-fixes, there are no changes to the User Interfaces.

Activity Roster	Getting “page data is inconsistent with database” error message when enrolling or dropping an activity.	Enrolling or dropping an activity is successful.
Search Catalog	Not all items returned when performing Item Search on Search Catalog page.	Active catalog items show in catalog search if the activity is available and also if the activities have end dates that are prior to the current date.
Activity Template	Fields do not get defaulted to value defined on the template	Fields on Quick create Activities page get defaulted to value defined on the template.
Activity Template	Impossible to select a default category	Administrators are able to select a default Category while creating an Activity Template.
Session Template	Primary instructor associated with the Session is not properly displayed on the "Session Details" page.	Primary instructor associated with the Session is properly displayed on the "Session Details" page.
Maintain Items	Fatal SQL error when adding a pre-requisite of objective type for a catalog item	After a code change, no SQL Error occurs when adding Pre-requisites of type- Objective to a Catalog Item.
Certifications	Certifications - Enroll in Same Item removes Expiration Dates	When a learner retakes an item within the program , the certification status will change back to in progress with historical details shown with the appropriate message.
EIP	Delete action on the HRMS JOB table is not correctly managed in ELM.	After a code change in ELM, when one of the job rows with same EFFDT, but different Effective sequence are being deleted in HR, the changes are correctly being reflected in ELM.
My Learning	Employee Self Service My Learning: page loses grid rows and displays incorrectly after navigating out and back	After a code change, all the rows are properly displayed in the "My Learning Activities" grid on the "My Learning" page.
Instructor - Mark Grades and Attendance	Instructor -Mark Grades and Attendance - Return to Search link goes to schedule	After the software changes, when clicking the return to search link on the Mark Grades and Attendance page under instructor tasks the link returns to the search page of the Mark Grades and Attendance.

Bundles #1-7 Highlights

Implemented into STARS Production on April 30, 2008. 

Application Area	Before Bundles 1-7	After Bundles 1-7
Search Catalog	When using basic search functionality the search results display the location for the activity as a hyperlink. That hyperlink does not work.	After code change, the hyperlink does work.
Search Catalog	Unable to search catalog items without activities. When learners try to search for catalog items without any active activities, no results are returned.	When learners try to search for catalog items without any active activities, the items will be returned.
Verity Search	Verity SUBSTRING operator is causing performance issues. IN operator performs better .	Replace SUBSTRING operator with IN operator in Search Catalog and provided setup on Install Default page.
Activity Roster   Grade and Attendance	If you use the Grade and Attendance link to mark a learner's completion status directly, the only way to undo that status is to go to one of the component rosters and change the attendance to Unknown and the Grade to Not Marked	After a Software change, the mark grade and attendance are working fine.
Search Catalog	Currently the search results are limited (hard coded) to 300. In the current design the 300 rows include delivery method types and activities for catalog item titles. If the first catalog items happen to be intensely used, the search will never return matches for any other catalog items.	After a code change, a warning message will be displayed for the user.
Enrollment	Admin is able to enroll wrong people into a program. When admin reviews registration details for a learner registered into a program from a roster page, admin is able to proceed with enrollment process for wrong set of learners. When admin reviews registration, there should either be ability to enroll the person for whom the enrollment is being reviewed or no enrollment allowed.	Admin is not able to enroll wrong people into a program.
Maintain Programs	New Program Id assigned while creating an effective dated row. Multiple Program Ids gets created when creating a new certification and/or curriculum and adding an effective dated row before saving the component.	After a code change, the same program ID will be used for a new effective dated row.
Activity Roster	Waitlisted learners status changed to enrolled upon clicking the Save icon.	After code changes, waitlisted learners status will keep unchanged upon clicking the Save.
Activity Roster	Saving the activity roster changes status of "Pending Approval" to “Enrolled”.	After a Software change, Saving the activity roster will keep the status for "Pending Approval".
Main Items	Inactivating the catalog item makes current enrollments to disappear from self-service views.	Inactivating the catalog item will not make current enrollments disappear from all learning.
Search Catalog	Cannot search for Catalog Items with pending, concluded and/or cancelled activities.	Search catalog will return those with pending, concluded and/or cancelled activities.
My Learning	Inactive Items not showing in "My Learning".	After a code change, Inactive items show up in My Learning for Learners.
